Events We Have Hosted

Over the years, the members of Creekside Commons have come together to host events that focus on the arts and that support community, family and friends. We have opened the Studio for artist in residencies, theatre play rehearsals, a documentary film screening, dance workshops and soul collage workshops.

Performances are an often-occurring feature of Creekside Commons, whether on the Greenhouse Stage or in the Studio. Our staging venues have hosted premier performances of original one-person shows, poetry readings, book readings, open mics, theatre productions and intimate productions of two or more people.

We recently participated in our local Open Studios event with four visual artists and several performing artisits showing their work both in the Studio and in the Greenhouse.

Creekside Commons has been home to a yearly men’s gathering since 2015 and we have hosted several family reunions on the property.  In support of the larger community, we hosted a fundraiser for a Eureka City Council member, and another fundraiser for The Ink People.

Cada – December 2018

“I love this spot. Its deliciously quiet in this sweet little cottage tucked up under the edge of the redwoods. The location is really lovely and I could feel and see the love and care that the various inhabitants of this wee community are giving to the land they share. I wanted to stay longer but it was a busy work time for me and this was a working weekend so I was gone during the days. I fantasize about staying here for a pure personal retreat some time and enjoying the place in a more leisurely manner.”
